IS FLIRTING THE SAME AS CHEATING?

Dear Mahogany, is flirting the same as cheating?

I have a boyfriend I have been dating for two years. We are good together and don’t seem to have any problems. But I am the kind of girl that likes to have fun, but it seems like I’ve gone the extra mile.

I met this guy on a social media platform, we started chatting, and things became pretty erotic. We sex chatted and flirt. Sex chatting and flirting was the limit. I remembered I had a boyfriend I love so much, and I didn’t want to cheat on him. We only sex chatted and flirted with each other. We never exchanged nude and I was not going to see him, because then flirting would become cheating.

My boyfriend stumbled on my chats with the other guy from social media. I didn’t see it as a big deal, but my boyfriend freaked out. I didn’t understand why. He called me a cheat. I was shocked. It was all chats and nothing more. So please advise me. First, is flirting the same as cheating? I need to understand this, because I am trying to make up with my boyfriend.
