Because we like facts so much, this article would be serving some hard facts on what the average penis size looks like when at rest and when erect. These facts are results of data collected from studying 15,521 men (yes!) from different independent researches.
In each study, the measurements were taken by medical professionals, with the goal to create charts which doctors can show to male patients, enabling them to see where they stand in the grand scheme of overall penis size distribution.
Because penis size is a hot topic in the world of sex and sexuality, there’s a lot of “self-reported” researches with bogus results across the internet. However, this research was collated from 20 previous studies, by Kings College London and is the most accurate data to date.
According to them, this is what you should know about penis sizes at rest and erect:
- 3.61 inches: The average length of a flaccid penis.
- 5.21 inches: The average length of a flaccid penis after it’s been stretched out.
- 5.17 inches: The average length of an erect penis.
- 3.67 inches: The average circumference of a flaccid penis.
- 4.59 inches: The average circumference of an erect penis.
Imagine how shocked we are to find that the average penis size is not 6 inches after all! Infact to be precise. The average penis is around the length of an average mobile phone!
More importantly, we are comforted to know that we are not alone in this weird obsession about penis size (there’s a whole research on it!)
