What do normal breasts look like?
What exactly do normal breasts look like? Are my breasts normal? What is the right size of breasts? Are my breasts the right shape, the right size? All these and more are questions we worry about as we begin to fill out our clothes and develop as girls.
Are my breast normal?
Like in almost every thing else, including the vagina and penis, when it comes to breast, almost any size, shape, color, is normal. Breasts come in itty-bitty palm sizes to large melon sizes. They also change in similar, but different ways throughout our lives.
Some of the factors that affect growth and chnages in breasts size include,
- Hormones
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- Weight gain
These four (things) can cause changes to the breasts like
- Stretch marks
- Soreness
- Tingling sensations
- Milk production
It is common to have stretchmarks as your breast develop, or when you go through pregnancy. This is because female growth hormones like estrogen and pregnancy hormones, may cause a rapid growth that stretches the skin around your breasts. Also, its is normal, if not expected for the breasts to grow when we gain weight, and produce milk during pregnancy or after.
Are my nipples normal?
Just like breasts, there is no normal or expected way that nipples are supposed to look. Nipples and Areolas, the dark circle around your nipple, come in different sizes and colors to. Although, they usually take after your normal skin complexion.
Some nipples stick out like buttons, some are tucked in (unless aroused). Some even grow little hairs around or on the areola. Generally, most nipples react to cold, sexual stimulation, emotions like fear, and touching.
Bottom line when it comes to breasts, any size is the prefect size. Unless it gives your great discomfort or pain, your breasts are fine and you should accept and love them like every other part of your body
